The journey begins.
The moulds for the Ross830 were found languishing in a boatyard at Toronto NSW where they had been sitting idle for several years.
That awkward looking mould on top is the original furniture mould with a part already laminated.

1. The transom area will be the first thing to undergo changes. The moulded in stairs will be removed and the transom opened up with a boarding platform built in. This will also allow much better access to the rudder and outboard.
2. Changes are planned for the cockpit to make it a little more comfortable, with particular attention being given to the mainsheet traveller.
3. The interior will be entirely remodeled around the centrecase area to provide a much more useable area and give much better support to the centrecase.
4. The area portside of the centrecase and immediately forward of the centrecase area to port will then be sectioned off for a very private heads/bathroom.
5. Consideration is being given to a retractable carbon fibre prodder to enable a screecher to be flown.
6. April 07. The hull mould has been retagged polished and waxed. Vacuum bagging flanges have now been added, so with just a little more polishing and refining the first "NEW GENERATION" hull is due to commence construction.
7. More to come!
Bagging flanges added, (Mould surface dust covered in following pics).
