CONSTRUCTION

The hull of the new Ross 830 is constructed of knitted fibreglass fabric with 12 mm pvc foam sandwich which is vacuum bagged giving a very light yet strong construction method. The tie layer which is the first layer of fibreglass against the gelcoat, is wetout with vinyl ester resin thereby greatly reducing the risk of osmosis inherent in ordinary fibreglass hulls.
The deck is knitted fibreglass fabric also with 12mm pvc foam vacuum bagged.
High load areas (winch /cleat etc.) are laminated with aluminium and plywood sandwich construction.

The Interior: A 12mm plywood main bulkhead is fitted with teak or oak laminate. There is a "V" berth forward and a seperate toilet / bathroom compartment forward of the centrecase. There are  berths port and starboard in the main cabin. There is also space for a large "queen sized" berth under the cockpit giving huge accomodation for a vessel of this size.  Space is also provided for a very usable galley .
The vessel can be fitted from basic to luxury dependent on customer requirements.
The vessel may  also be available in staged kits making this fine yacht affordable on any budget.

MURRAY ROSS ...  DESIGNER

Her high ballast ratio, her hull with its moderate beam, fine bow, firm bilges with straight run and wide stern, her bulb keel or lift keel and her light single swept back spreader rig, not only let the 830 go well to weather, but reaching and running performance is superb, befitting her ROSS pedigree.
